It's summer and I was wondering. If you guys could chuck one lure all day to get the best bag of smallies possible, what would it be?

For me, I'd have to say a Rapala Skitterprop. It's one of the few lures I only get to really throw in summer.
My other summer favourite, but it works virtually all year, is the Widget (stickbait like a Senko). Throwing it wacky-weightless and on a shakey head jig REALLY works!
But for summer only, my number one is topwater.

I will have to go with topwater just for the fun factor.
Shut-up and fish

I went tube,if I HAD to choose ONE type of bait.
Many ways to rig it, many ways to fish it. Deep water, around docks, rip rap....etc. And at all times of the day. Its just too versatile.
Favourite technique is top water, but I don't find that as effective all the tube for "All-Around".

Last year I would have said a tube. This year I would have to wait to let you know as so far tubes have been less productive for me than a couple of other lures i am throwing but the jury is still out.
