Shimano Citica201E Vs. Daiwa Tierra
Here is a spot where we can talk about rods, reels, tackle, etc!
Shimano Citica201E Vs. Daiwa Tierra

I don't expect my cheap-o Daiwa reel to last a lot longer; it has given me some problems and I know it will give out eventually, no matter how much care I give it. So I've been looking at getting a more solidly built reel that will last longer and won't scare me with problems.
My price range is definitely in that $100-130.00 range, and I've been doing a lot of looking on BPS, research (tackletour.com) and such... and I have no idea which one I'm going to get.
I don't know if I would get a Quantum since my brother got one and he isn't completely satisfied with it. I'm not sure which model it is; it's red and was like 120+ dollars. It could be a different story with the Energy PT though.
I hear good things about Abu Garcia's reels as well; specifically the Revo S.
But I want detailed, not capitalized, not stupid opinions from you guys, unlike the ones on BPS.
Thank you for any opinions you offer!.gif)

American Legacy (americanlegacyfishing.com) in Indiana has a Revo SX on sale for $99 (regular price is $169). I have dealt with this company a few times, have one reel on the way and will be ordering another in a couple of days. Great customer service, decent prices and very reasonable shipping costs to Canada.
I have the Revo S model and am quite pleased with it. Typical great Abu Garcia quality.

I've ordered my Curado E7 there and the discount is still valid, don't know if they'll ship to Canada but if you don't mind the hassle you can pick it up at the borader, I've picked up mine at Point Roberts. I placed my order by email since their site is for US only? they are easy to deal with and ship fast.
btw, I owned a E7 and E5 and love them.

I'm going with the Shimano Citica201E... I know that both Shimano and Abu Garcia are great for reel quality. Quantum and Daiwa I'm not so sure about, but I know Daiwa has a great magnetic braking system.
It would have been easier to choose which reel if they weren't all rated 4.8/5 on BPS!.gif)
